Obverse: red enameled five pointed star
with silver rays emitting from it; there are two gilt laurel
sprays in the lower part. The medal is surrounded by a thick
silver rand.
Reverse: medal's name in Korean.
Ribbon: 34 mm, red with white side stripes
(4 mm, inset 4 mm), at the outer edge of the stripes there
is a blue pinstripe (2/3 mm, inset 2/3 mm).
